Notably, the protagonist Will uses holy water in Volume 1 to repel skeletons in the catacombs, demonstrating its practical, if limited, combat application. Holy water remains a niche item, more often used in ceremonial contexts than as a primary weapon.

The air inside the crumbling crypt was thick with the scent of decay and old dust. Holy Water functions as a specialized anti-undead agent that bypasses physical durability. When applied directly to an undead creature, it triggers an immediate combustion effect, destroying the necromantic binding holding the corpse together. To use it effectively, one must ensure direct contact. Splashing it from a distance is less effective than pouring it or throwing a vial at point-blank range. It can be carried in vials, flasks, or even integrated into weapon coatings for melee combatants who wish to infuse their strikes with holy power. While primarily wielded by religious figures and paladins, any character capable of handling the substance can utilize it. However, caution is advised, as spilling large amounts on oneself or allies generally causes no harm, but wasting a vial on non-undead targets renders it useless. It is most effective against standard skeletons and zombies, though higher-tier undead may require larger quantities or more potent blessings to be fully purged.
